Ergon recently sent us our first order - awesome saddles! We really appreciate our sponsorship relationship that we have with this great company. Saddles, gloves, grips, packs, we've got it all!
We had a great group for yesterdays SYDC pre-ride. Awesome turn out of BWR members with Steve Reiter , Dylan Harp , Tim Wilcox, Lenny Goodell, Claudia Goodell and Donna James. We also had a few other non-BWR folks show to round out a few groups (Jerome Moreau, Brain Gronert, Bob Cipoletti, Mike Brown, Minori Yoshida and Jeff??). Bob, Mike and Jeff did the 58 miles Cabezon loop. Claudia, Donna and Minori did their own shorter pre-ride while the rest did the 73 mile Cabezon plus White Mesa loop. Except for some nasty head winds the weather was really nice. Go here to check out information on the San Ysidro Dirty Century : http://nmes.wordpress.com/rides/san-ysidro-dirty-century/ Lenny debuted his new Devinci Atlas Carbon full suspension single speed for a nice long break in ride! The bike rode great and was a blast on the loose down hills on White Mesa. Lenny made one mistake in setup, which was he left the rear shock in full unlocked setting, so climbing was sluggish. He didn't find the settings decal on the shock till the very end of the ride. Oh well, got in some great "Harsh" base training... ;-) Here are some of the bike specs: - Devinci Atlas Carbon 29er FS frame set (110 rear travel) - Fox F32 FIT 100 - Noir carbon crank set - Sram BB92 PF bottom bracket - Crank Brothers Cobalt 29er wheelset - Crank Brothers Carbon handle bar - Crank Brothers Cobalt 3 stem - Crank Brothers Eggbeater 11 pedals - Ergon SM3 Pro Saddle - Ergon GP3 Grips - King Ti and stainless water bottle cages - Shimano SLX brakes with Shimano ICE rotors - Thomson seat post - Schwalbe Nobby NIC Snake Skin 2.25 tires - Paul Components Melvin or Shimano Ultegra derailure for chain tensioner A big thanks to the following BWR sponsors in getting this bike built: - BikeWorks Albuquerque - Crank Brothers - Ergon - The Bike Fitter - King Cages The next day Lenny did a recover ride by taking is dog Mojo for her 12 mile run on the Tramway bike path. As you can see below, she approves of the new bike! Oh yea, he tested climbing on a short steep dirt hill with the shock in the pedal setting. Much better!! :-) |
