In total 13 team members contributed $3,010.00, which was matched 100% by World Bicycle Relief to total $6,020.00. Although our total team donation has continued to rise each year since we began this annual fundraising tradition in 2009, the number of contributors remains stable. Just think how we can increase our impact if only a few more team members would join in. If you've been contributing please encourage others to do the same. Although the fundraiser is once a year to take advantage of the matching, your donation can be made anytime, in any amount, from anywhere in the world, and it's even simpler now that we have our own Big Wheel Racing dedicated fundraising page through World Bicycle Relief. It is also tax deductible for those in the U.S. and a tax receipt will be sent to you automatically. If you want to learn more about how this money works to change lives here are a few personal stories of those who have received Buffalo Bikes through donations like ours. Here's the 2015 Year in Review for World Bicycle Relief and here is their YouTube channel where you can hear the personal stories of recipients in short videos. Our 2015 donation was part of this project, Palabana: A Community on the Move Thanks to all who contributed, and if you didn't get to it it is NOT too late. You can donate anytime. |
